6.4 earthquake hits Xinjiang region in China

At least three people lost their lives and 20 others were severily hurt after the 6.4 earthquake that rocked the western region of Xianjing in China on Friday, July 3rd.
Many traditional houses in the mainly ethnic Uighur region collapsed when the quake struck about 160 km (100 miles) of the southern city of Hotan in the early morning, according to Chinese emergency officials.
