Romanians might be bound by law to make their homes available for NATO

A bill of the Ministry of Internal Affairs provides that the State can requisition people’s goods during the mobilization drills and troops deployment involving shooting, military maneuvers and overall operations for NATO troops instruction informs Ziarul Ring.
So far, the Romanian state could requisition goods only based on a declaration of mobilization of the armed forces or of a state of siege.
„It is necessary to optimize the capacity for intervention in crisis situations, of action procedures and taking action to respond to major changes in the regional security environment on the NATO borders and discourage challenges and threats to the territory and populations of the member states of the North Atlantic organization, „reads the explanatory memorandum to the bill.
