Petro Poroshenko, the president of Ukraine, will arrive today to Bucharest. He will meet with Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos, but first he will be welcomed by the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, at Cotroceni Palace, who last year declared his support for closer relations between Ukraine and the European Union. After the official welcoming ceremony, the two heads of state will have talks and will hold a joint press conference. Last year, Klaus Iohannis paid an official visit to Kiev where he voiced his firm support for Ukraine’s getting closer to the European Union. The two presidents also met on the side-lines of an international conference in Munich. Last time, Romanian President reiterated support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine and underscored the importance of the full implementation of the Minsk Accords for solving the crisis.
